List of things to bring on next trip:
- Lightbulb(s). Colored and/or low-light, to replace the bulb that is, without fail, as bright as possible, usually within 3 feet of my head in whatever room I’m in, always without a shade. Don’t mind it during the day, but some mood lighting at night would be nice.
- Technology that does not break. Possible solution: waterproof paper and pen. See: pen found in ocean. (seriously awesome find… I’ve always wanted to be on antiques roadshow!)
- Sun screen. Day 4 of sun burn and still too cheap to buy a $15 bottle of SPF 30.
- DEET and/or eucalyptus oil. Would rather stink like a hippie than deal with these bites any more.
- Loved one. Kinda lonely, just like last time.
- BoomToob. These love ballads are gettin’ old!
- A group of people with the drive and motivation to throw a totally awesome party on an idyllic beach in a 3rd world country, just because we can.
